Singer/Songwriter, Edei Releases her Brand NEW Single ‘I’LL Go’ And her FIRST US Release.

With the Drum and piano starting the track, its safe to say that it sets the whole song naturally and lets you capture the  feel of the song throughout.
When the powerful vocals come through on the song show that hitting those notes is not a problem and is a very pleasant, catchy song that people would love to hear over and over.
As for the lyrics in this song i think the flow is wonderful and it pieces the song together.
I also think that this is an interestesting song that has a special meaning about which when you listen you can hear the originality throughout and can hear in the vocals that Edei is singing this track with a passion and from her heart, giving the message that she will go out and live her dream.
Which by the way Edei is a One to watch!

Jigawatts are a POP Duo from Gravesend and Made up of Alice and Rich.

November 2014 saw the duo release ‘Not Enough’ which is their Single.

The start of the track sets up the whole of the song, from the small instrumental straight in to the vocals.
Having great vocals from the duo but its gives you a whole new feeling to the duo and tack all together, these are a very unique band and the fanastic consistent to their vocals throughout.
Able to understand the lyrics and are very interesting and with the video of this track very imaginative.Cant wait to see more from this duo!

Get To Know Manchester Band ‘The Marivaux ‘ and Check out their BritRock Music and Be ready to hear more!

The Marivaux

What are your Full names and ages?
We are Phil McAdam (26) Matt Shields (23) Ben Peacock (24) & Rik Packer (24)
What is your band’s Genre?
People seem to be putting us in the BritRock category.
Give us a little bio of the band and you guys as individual.

Well, The Marivaux (pronounced Ma-Ree-Voe) is our band, which we do because none of us want a real job. We are creating a sound that emulates our reason for living, not existing, at a volume that cannot be ignored. We started in music college in Manchester where Phil, Matt & Ben started playing together. I (Rik) joined to cover for one gig (supporting The Futureheads) and somehow blagged being a proper member. The four of us make up The Marivaux. We’re naturally restless musicians with gritty ambition. We’ve done over four years of shows around the UK, Ireland and Europe, including our recent headline 21 date tour from Paris – Amsterdam. Our All In Good Time EP is our first ever EP to be available on iTunes and we have plenty more where that came from.
Where did you get the band name from?
From the top of the list for shitty names for bands. Nobody can pronounce it or remember it and when we went to France they told us the correct way to say it… But seriously, Matt and Phil were drinking, opened a random page in an encyclopaedia and pointed to Marivaux (who was actually a French playwright).
Who does what in the band?
Phil sings and strums the guitar, Matt explores the fretboard, leading the guitars, Ben hits things with sticks, and I (Rik) pluck one string at a time on bass whilst backing up the vocals. We all write the tunes and bring ideas to the table.
Are You Signed?
Unsigned and untarnished.
What instruments do you play?
Anything with strings, or keys, or objects that can be hit by a stick.
How did the band come about?
Through Pete, our manager and some of the band’s former tutor at college. He had the idea of a band and put the pieces in play for Phil Matt & Ben to jam.
How did you guys meet?
Them three met in college, I knew Matt since we were 4 and we’ve played in a few bands in the past, so when they needed a bassist to cover a gig – I got the call.
Who are your influences?
We could say the usual Led Zep, Nirvana, The Doors etc. but really we’re influenced by life events and our friends and family. The sounds depend on what we’re listening to at the time… It could be Abba (Phil’s favourites) or Slipknot. It all comes together when we’re on the same vibe.
What are your backgrounds whether it’s in music or not?
Rik: My background is in journalism, it’s what a trained in and I had a brief stint at the BBC. The rest of them are music heads through and through.
How did music come in to your lives and when did you start doing it?
Queen Greatest Hits 3CDs in my Sony Portable CD Player when I was about 7 or 8. That was the beginning for me, shortly followed by Limp Bizkit etc. If you were brought up around music there’s no way it won’t seep into your life.
When will you be releasing material?
Currently have an EP on iTunes (All In Good Time) and we’re due to release again in March… ears to to ground for info on that one.
How do you get inspiration to write songs?
Drugs. Just kidding… Kind of… Life events and being honest are all we know.
Where do you see the band in 2-5 years time?
Playing in Academy sized venues to a new breed of music lovers who are sick and tired of the mediocrity in our current music charts.
Where would your dream place be to perform?
I’d love to play Manchester’s O2 Apollo. That or anywhere within Glastonbury Festival (The Pyramid??)
If you could do collaboration with anyone who would it be?
Hearsay. Pure and simple.
If you wasn’t doing music what would you’s be doing?
Bumming about really… If I had to guess I’d say Phil would probably be an air hostess, Matt would be a P.E. teacher specialising in ping pong, Ben would be presenting Flog It! AND Pimp My Ride, and I would be making a living by appearing on various game shows, only to loose it all by betting on Manchester United to win the league.
If You got asked by a tv show or film to have your music played on, which show or film would it be?
I’d love to be played on Suits or any Marvel film. That would be super cooooool.
Do you have a website, social media pages and music pages for your fans?
Facebook, YouTube, Twitter etc – just search The Marivaux. 🙂

Get to know Rising Star ‘ Samantha Dorrance’ and Follow Her Music Career!

How old are you? As old as I feel 🙂
What is your genre of music? My genre of music I find is a hard one to call. I don’t enjoy one genre of music in particular and I don’t write within one genre either. The biggest influence behind my music is feeling. I sit down with a feeling to write with rather than an idea. Even I don’t know what’s going to come out! It just happens. Let’s say I’m an acoustic songwriter but with a big band and plenty of sass! haha.

Give a Little Bio of yourself. I’m singer/song-writer but started out dancing, acting and being a TV Presenter for Disney channel. My career has been a very mixed one, never know what i’m going to be up to next! But i like that, i find it exciting. I first stepped into my professional career at 15 when i won a singing/dancing talent competition on Disney Channel “You’re The Star” then I went onto working for Disney another year after that, where I learnt the art of being a TV Presenter, and co-presented a show called “My School Musical”. I then flew to Salt Lake City, Utah to work on the set of High School Musical 3 for Disney’s “Movie Surfer’s”, interviewing the cast and showing Disney viewers behind the scenes of the film. Then I went into Theatre and got back to acting again. Did a number of plays, my favourite being a comedy play called “And This Was Odd”, before landing the  role of Laura in Dreamboats and Petticoats the UK tour. I toured the show for a year before being transferred into London’s West End playing at the beautiful Wyndham’s Theatre in Leicester Square. After that I co-wrote and produced a brand new TV show with David Ribi, played the role of Zoe in BBC Doctors and presented 2 more shows for Disney Channel “The Disney Channel Dance Along” & “Dance With Disney Junior”

How long have you been doing music? Music has been part of my life always, in some way or another. I’ve been writing music in my spare time for the last 5 – 6 years. I love putting my stories into song. Writing music, for me, It’s like writing a journal.

What made you go into music? My family have bought me up around music and my Dad is musical. My Mom and Dad actually met in a band. So i’d have to say my parents mainly. I just got hooked from a young age.

Are you a Signed Artist? I’m independent. Currently I like this. I get to write the way I want to and that’s important to me, particularly right now. Who knows though, maybe in the future.

Who are your influences? People, experiences, life… For me, that’s what gives music soul. If a song has been written with no feeling behind it, I find it very boring. There are two artists that I have been listening to endlessly for months and months now and that’s Tori Kelly and Melissa Polinar. The amount of heart and soul that goes into their music is so great, I could listen to them forever.

You have a new EP coming out soon, can you tell us more about it? Of course! Well it’s my first EP titled “Going My Way” which will include 5 more original songs. You’ll hear the sweet sounds of my ridiculously talented band who have bought my music to life. They’re great friends and support me immensely. Elliot Blower – Drums, Dino Franchi – Keys, Aidan Underhill – Guitar, Mike Groves – Bass and then of course me singing away and playing guitar. Natt Webb has produced the EP who has been great to work with! They’re a great bunch.

What’s your favourite track you recorded off the EP? Ooh, that’s a hard question! They all mean something to me. I think the track and first release though “Going My Way” is special. It’s something we can all relate to at some point in our lives and I hope the song can give at least one of 2 messages. You’re not alone and life always finds a way.

Is there a meaning behind the whole EP or are there a whole lot of meaning depending on tracks? There are meanings behind each track. They’re all about love of course, from all angles… I hope people can find a connection to my stories and again, not feel alone.

Will we be seeing a lot more gigs from you in 2015,if so where abouts will you be going?

I shall be starting to book gigs the end of this month, no locations yet though 🙂 I’ll tweet them!

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

Through life experiences, allowing plenty of time to daydream, by taking in my surroundings and by allowing myself to simply feel.

Where is your dream place to perform in USA?

I’m kind of boring, I try not to think too far ahead. I’m just concentrating on the now really. However, when I was in LA a couple of years ago, I saw a gig at The Roxy. It’s only a small venue, but I just remember it having a cool, laid back, atmosphere. Be cool if me and the guys played there sometime.

Where is your dream place to perform in UK?

Again, I’m kinda boring… Let’s go wild and say the O2 Arena or Wembley!!

If you could go on Tour with any Singer or Band from UK who would it be and why?

I like Paloma Faith for her originality, so maybe Paloma.

If you could go on Tour with any Singer or Band from USA who would it be and why?

Could I go on a small tour with the likes of Tori Kelly and Melissa Polinar? That would suit me.

Where do you see yourself in 2-5 years?

Hopefully… happy, doing what I love whilst surrounded by lovely, grounded, genuine people. That’s what life’s about right? … That and good food!

If you weren’t doing music what would you be doing?

Well I already have lots of different jobs. But if I had to do something that had nothing to do with performing, I’d work with animals for sure.

Who is your favourite Artist or Band at The Moment?

Artists/bands that I constantly listen to right now would be: Dirty Loops, Tori Kelly, Melissa Polinar and been listening to quite a bit of Frank Ocean recently.

If you got a tv show or film interested in your music, which one would you let your music be played on?

If I for some reason didn’t agree with what the show or film was promoting, then i wouldn’t agree to it. For me, too much media, whether it be film or music, promote the wrong things in life and so if I felt that way about it, then I’d say no. I want to promote the more positive, more meaningful side of life. There’s not enough of that.

The Dream/Pop Canadian Duo, Made up of Cat Forsley and Ashton Price, Be ready for these two everyone.

Starting off with a ‘Magic takes the form of You and I’ (Tep No Remix’ showcasing Cat’s vocals with a great echo effect which goes well with the Indie/Dream Pop genre this duo has.

REVIEW: The Tripps ‘Pressure’

The Tripps are a 4 Piece from Ayr in Scotland.

The 4 Piece recorded the track ‘Pressure’ with heavy guitar strums and then the drums come in which gives the track a fantastic instrumental for the whole track.

The kick of the drums also gives the track a great sound and looking forward to more.
The vocals come in to the track very powerful and with fantastic tones and i am excited to see what else these lads do.
This may only be a rough demo of the track but i can safely say when this is recorded and re released it will blow your mind.

Check it out here and more other tracks:

REVIEW: Jordan Pass Single ‘ Supernova’

Jordan is a R&B Singer Songwriter from Sheffield.

‘Supernova’ starts off with a 7 second guitar solo, which gives you a feel of the whole track.

When Jordan’s vocals come through the track with a range of vocals which sound brilliant throughout the whole of the song.

As for the Lyrics in this track, seem very personal to Jordan, as if its about someone special in his life or someone who was once special which a lot of people can relate too!

A Catchy track with a fantastic instrumental I think that this track would be great to play anywhere and everywhere.

This is a Singer/Songwriter of the future and be sure to hear lot more from Jordan!

Make sure you go and buy this track and watch out for more amazing music from this guy!

Zoe Unsworth is a Manchester Based Rising Singer/Songwriter Of The Future

How old are you?

I’m a 15 year old unsigned Singer/Songwriter who has performed at a variey of venues from Football Stadiums to Christmas Light Events

What is your genre of music?

I sing everything from Pop music to Soul and R’n’B.

Give a Little Bio of yourself.

I’ve been singing since the age of 9/10 and wrote my first song at the age of 11. I’ve been performing at venues since the age of around 12/13.
What made you go in to music?

The reason I decided to go into music is just a pure passion for Singing and a variety of musical genres. I just think if you’re lucky enough to be able to do something you love all the time then why not?
Are you a Signed Artist?

I am currently an unsigned artist.

Who are your influences?
I am influenced by many artists, imparticuarlly Etta James, Jessie J, Glen Hansard and Guy Garvey.

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

I find inspiration in everything for my song writing from situations I’m in to observations of society; also listening to the music of other artists inspires me a lot.

Where is your dream place to perform in USA?

My dream location to sing in the USA would be Radio City Music Hall, as all the artists I love have performed there and it would be awesome to set foot on the same stage as them.

Where is your dream place to perform in UK?

In the UK it would be the O2 Arena, again for the same reason.

If you could go on Tour with any Singer or Band from UK who would it be and why?

I would love to tour with Jessie J, her vocal ability is unreal and her music is awesome.

If you could go on Tour with any Singer or Band from USA who would it be and why?

I would like to tour with Christina Agularia, her power and vocal flexibility is amazing.

Where do you see yourself in 2-5 years?

In 2-5 years I hope to be making a name for myself as a performer and song writer, creating new music and discovering new opportunities

If you weren’t doing music what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t involved in music I honestly wouldn’t know what I’d be doing, from a young age music has been my main passion and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Who is your favourite Artist or Band at The Moment?

At the moment I’m listening to a lot of Elbow, I think they’re a fantastic band who make some beautiful music. Also I’m loving Jessie J, Leah McFall, Damien Rice and Ed Sheeran; so many great artists out there at the moment!

If you got a tv show or film interested in your music, which one would you let your music be played on?

I’d love either to play my music, it’d be great to have an opportunity like that, it would probably be really weird to hear my music on a film or the TV but it’d be so exciting.
