Giulia is a Singer/Songwriter from Italy, Rome and now its your turn to find out what she is about right here.

How old are you?
i’m 25 years old

What is your genre of music?
my genre of music i would say its country rock with a modern twist of pop

Give us a little Bio of you.
I was born in Rome Italy, from Italian parents, as my dad was a professional polo player and my mum used to work in fashion, we used to travel a lot, we ended up living in Buenos Aires Argentina for 6 years and then moved back to Italy, where i finished my studies and then decided to move here in the UK to peruse my music career.

How long have you been doing music?
Basically since i decided to do it professional after my high school graduation..
but i was always interested and took music and singing lessons before that! 🙂

What made you go in to music?
Basically everything and nothing, i mean everything about music made me want to go into music, i just love it so much, i knew from the first day i wanted to do this, there was no specific reason, just the love for music!
Are you a signed Artist?
unfortunately not yet! i’m not signed by a major lable yet! hopefully soon in the future! thats my goal

What instruments do you play?
i play guitar, i’m not a brilliant guitar player but i play guitar, i would love to learn to play harmonica..i will deffenetly take some lessons!

Who are your influences?
well i get constantly inspired i would better say, buy artists or things or episodes in my life, thats how i manage to write and create my material, by every day episodes and things that happen to me.
so growing up i used to love to listen to johnny cash and Elvis Lynyard Skynard to a much more modern Shania Twain and Aerosmith!
these are the artists i grew. up with! but i always get inspired buy talented people! of course you then create your own sound!

When will your new material be out?
my new single is out on vevo and spotify right now such as my 1st single “radio junky”. and its called “turn your light on” and it will be out on iTunes and amazon at the end of this week the 27th of April..along side with the album same date! (raze me to the ground).

What’s the new album called and tell us more about the new album.
this is my first debut album and its called RAZE ME TO THE GROUND its a 12 track album. i’m very ecxited about it, i put my heart and soul in to it!
its very personal ( of course) and everything that is write in the songs its personal and it comes from personal experiences or from my mind!
writing songs its not just about love or things hat actually happen to you, but i would say its like creative writing you have the freedom to express yourself like this, and music its the way that i do it it’s my tool! as long as it comes from your mind and not someone elses.
it actually took me four years to write and produce this album!
there have been a few bumps in the way, but now its here!

Which would be your recommended song choice of the album?
i like them all of course, but i would say maybe ‘raze me to the ground’, theres a song named like the album
Where do you see yourself in 2-5 Years?
hopefully signed and doing what i love, i’ll be 30 in 5 years, so hopefully its gonna happen maybe even earlier! 🙂

If you wasn’t doing music what would you be doing?
i have no idea! maybe acting thats an art form that i always loved! i’m very passionate about it!

When your not doing music, what do you do?
i don’t know! anything, whatever i feel like doing! LOL

If you could collaborate with one UK Artist or band who would it be?
in this precise moment i would like to perform with John Newman… it would have been cool to perform with oasis! who knows if they ever get back together!

If you could collaborate with one USA Artist or band who would it be?
i would say lady gagà, i really like her as an artist! or aerosmith or lenny kravitz! love them all!

Where is your dream venue or festival to perform in UK?
probably Glastonbury! 🙂

Where is your dream venue or festival to perform in USA?
i would say Coachella music festival ! you made it if you are there! it must be an incredibile expreirnce!

What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
i honestly can’t remember..fortunately enough i’ve worked with people that are in this business for the love of it! so i had good experiences and surely people that advised me well, but i honestly cannot remember a specific phrase! probably not to give up! couse its really really hard! i mean i would say that to someone who is trying to peruse a career in music!

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

i would say never give up if you feel its the right thing to do..if its just a matter of time!

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you can not forget?
i know one for sure! lyrics! and if you do just go with it! probably your instruments!

You have your own Fashion Line, tell us more about that?
i don’t ” have” a fashion line i work fifty-fifty with the very tallented italian designer ANNA SAMMARONE she’s the designer and creator of all we are partners in this whole campaign

Review: Lost Polaris is Set to release their EP ‘Selective Deafness’ on June 15th and ive had a chance to have a sneak preview.

sd1

Lost Polaris are a Indie Genre and are all the way from Houston,Texas.

Starting with the track ‘ Cordyceps (oh how she feigns)’ which starts with a intro which is very atmosperic and creates a great mood for the track.
It also has a great beat for the intro which then the vocals come through naturally.

Track two ‘ Passing The Doldrums’ starts with a slow and peaceful intro which makes you capture a good image of how the whole EP is going to be.
The Lyrics seem very deep but still nice to listen to and the rhythm that makes you feel the the track and carries you throughout.

Track three ‘ Washington On The Brazo’ a more upbeat feel than the other two but again the rhythm carries you through and lets you enjoy the track.

Track four ‘Avenoir’ starts with a more mystical sound than the others with the vocals which then come straight through and sound gravelly but enjoyable to listen too.

Be sure to watch out for this EP and here is a Preview of the First track

REVIEW: Giulia is Set to release brand new and DEBUT ALBUM ‘Raze Me To The Ground’ on 27TH APRIL 2015.

FINAL_MASTER_SLEEVE_V7_COVER_GUIDE_CROP
Giulia is a Singer and Songwriter from Rome but has travelled and had many experiances which she puts into her music making it unique and her own.
Giulia’s brand new album starts with soft vocals which lead straight into the lyrics of the first track’ Turn Your Light On’. It’s a personal song which reflects on Giulia’s life but also about how she is ready to explode onto the music scene by “turning the light on”
Second Track ‘Road Trip’ seems more country than the first with guitar and a drum start which lead straight into Giulia’s powerful vocals,

These are just two of the amazing tracks on the album and with the vocals so modulated and silvery throughout.

This album is one to listen to whenever and wherever.

The Single is also out on Youtube be sure to watch, share and comment.
