What is your Full name?
Craig Thomas Stickland

 

How old are you?

28 years young

 

What is your genre of music?

Singer Songwriter with blues, soul and country influence

 

Give us a little bio about yourself.

I live and breathe music.

 

How long have you been doing music?
I picked up the guitar when I was 13

 

What made you go in to music?

I’m not too sure really, one day I decided to quit all sports and asked my parents to buy me a guitar. They did, and I’ve been doing it ever since.

 

You released ‘ Hope We Don’t Break up’, tell us more about the inspiration behind the song.

There was a girl I was in love with and she broke my heart. I finally won her back after four years, and during the first four months of dating, there was still that uncertainty of whether or not we would last. I sat down at the piano one day, and ‘I Hope We Don’t Break Up’ were the first words out of my mouth.

 

How did it come about Ksenia Solo directing your video? What Was it like to work with her?

Ksenia and I met when she came to one of my shows in Toronto. She approached me saying she wanted to get into directing, and that she wanted me to be the first victim (Literally)

 

Your coming over to the UK in March, where are you most excited to play? ( I hope it’s Manchester 😉 )

Most definitely Manchester. And Paris and London (And the rest of the dates). I’ve never played real shows in Europe and it’s always been a dream.

 

Any new material being released soon?

Debut EP out now, and I’m going to put out a new song/video every sunday on my Youtube.com/craigstickland

 

What instruments do you play?

Piano, guitar and Bass

 

Who are your influences?

The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis, David Bowie, John Mayer, Neil Young, Coldplay, etc but I find new influences every day

 

Will you be doing any gigs or a Tour?

Currently on tour opening for Alessia Cara

 

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

Some just come to me, but mostly I get results when I make it a habit of writing daily.

 

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?

Headlining Arenas and Stadiums!

 

When you’re not doing music, what do you do?

I like to stay active to keep my mind at ease, I read, I write, and I do some modelling jobs here and there.
